Side entrance Ancistrus Cave
Some catfish prefer spawning caves with closed ends and lateral entrance. Such a side entrance cave is particularly popular with Ancistrus species. If he has the choice, in our experience an Ancistrus prefers a closed cave with side entrance to a cave with front entrance.
Also with Ancistrini sp. ‘L82’, with L264 and others from the Leporacanthicus family this cave form proved to be optimum.
